Does anyone watch DWTS? I've never watched it until this season and the only reason I am is because I just had to see Kate Gosselin dance. I really don't think that I've ever been so uncomfortable watching TV in my whole life. It's like a car accident. You know you shouldn't watch but you can't help it.
I do give Kate a lot of credit because she is the only one on the show that is not a performer of some sort(except Jake the bachelor-PUKE). Some of the contestants are performers for a living and have an advantage. Like the Pussy Cat dolls chic. She sings and dances for a living so when she does awesome it's not like we are surprised. I kind of think it's unfair.
I would rather watch people that don't know how to dance actually learn how to dance and watch their progress throughout the weeks. Maybe that is why I want Kate to stay on the show. Because I am looking forward to her progressing and actually learning how to dance(or maybe she will bomb every week).
This week Shannon Dougherty got voted off and even though she messed up a little I thought it was good. Buzz Aldrin was in the top... HUH?? He could barley move around the dance floor. It's gotta be fixed??
Any thoughts on this topic??

Top 10 Tuesday!
I have a horrible cold or maybe it's strep throat. Not sure. One thing I do know is it's not fun. On top of that Jake has been extra crabby. So I decided to blog about something happy.
Top 10 reasons why I love Spring!
1. My Birthday
2. Sunny skies
3. Warm weather
4. When the ice melts off the lakes. A true sign that Spring is here.
5. BBQ's on the deck
6. No need for jackets
7. Spring cleaning
8. Being able to turn the heat down and open the doors
9. Decorating Easter eggs
10. No more snow (for the most part)

Nap Time Headache!!
Jake is now pulling himself up in his crib. Which is great because he is making such progress but it's not great for nap time. Nap time had become a game and it takes about an hour to get him to stop climbing and fall asleep. Here are some pictures.
Don't worry. I've lowered the crib.
Finally!!!
Today I put stuff over the windows and made his room black. He wouldn't take a morning nap but I put him down at 1 for his afternoon nap and it only took 10 minutes and he was out.
Hopefully it stays that way..

Ready Set Crawl
It's been so nice out. I can't even tell you how better my mood has been since the snow has melted. I had a bad case of Spring fever. Brent and I have been on the hunt for a new house. We found one that we fell in love with and put an offer on it and someone out bid us. So the search goes on.
Jake has been growing so fast. It's like in the past few week he has changed so much. He is so close to crawling. His therapist Karla got him to army crawl a few steps the other day. Karla made a rug with speed bumps and a toy and lights at the end to encourage him to crawl. Here are some pictures of his therapy session.

Pictures
It's been a while since I've blogged. I'm trying to get back in the groove..
Jake had his 1 year check up.
Weight 20 lbs 15 ounces
Height 29 inches
He still is a little guy but he is growing so that's good. Jake meets his new eye doctor on Friday. We are excited. He is also going to start some new therapy in a few weeks. Since he is not crawling or walking he is doing things like head banging, rocking, etc. So we are going to start some sensory therapy to maybe help release some of that pent up energy.
Jake is eating all foods now. He feeds himself veggies, fruit, lunch meat, cheese, eggs, pancakes and grilled cheese. It's awesome to watch him. He loves it.
He has also moved to whole milk. We still have him on a couple bottles a day because it's the only way I can get him to drink all the milk he needs. He can use a sippy cup but he throws it after a few sips.
Jake is talking a lot. He says DADADADADA and a bunch of stuff that doesn't make any sense. Yesterday he said NANANA and MAMMAMA. YAY.
He claps and waves bye bye. It's so cute. Jake is sleeping through the night for the most part. He sometimes wakes up when he is teething or not feeling well and wants to sleep with us. He is napping twice a day still but I'm trying to get him into on afternoon nap. That isn't going well.
Here are some pictures from Jake's 1 year session. I got them done at JC Penny because I thought I was saving money. I regret that decision. That's all I have to say about that.
