HAPPY FRIDAY!!

Ok so I haven't been the best blogger this week. I really wanted to post my fair pictures but I tell you I just keep putting it off.. I think we are going to the fair tonight or tomorrow so once I have all my pictures I will just post all my fair stuff at once. It's a big deal you know... I will leave you with a cute pic of my Bro and Tony at the Saints game.

Waiting

I was trying to wait to post about my weekend until I uploaded all my pictures from the fair but as you can see I still haven't uploaded them.. I thought I would just post something quick.
The fair was a lot of fun. I didn't eat everything from my list because I was scared of what my tummy might do if I did. I am going back on Friday because I didn't get to see, do or eat as much as I would like to.
I will try and upload pics tonight and post them tomorrow and more about the weekend.

It's finally Friday!! YAY!! Any big plans for the weekend??

Tomorrow I am heading out the fair with my Brother Jason, SIL Lori and Nephew Tony. We are jumping on the park and ride bright and early at 8:30 am. Nothing like deep fried pickles for breakfast. Yum!
It's supposed to be a nice day Saturday 80 and sunny. Hopefully I won't have a repeat of last weekend after the Carlton County Fair. I've been feeling pretty good the past few days so I think I might be in the clear. KNOCK ON WOOD!!

Helmey said he will give me a dollar if I wear a tube top and eat everything on my list at the same time. Sorry Helmey I think it would take more than a dollar to get me to do that.

TFT-STATE FAIR

Today marks the first day of the GREAT MINNESOTA GET TOGETHER the Minnesota State Fair 2008. Ever since I was little I’ve been going to the fair and loving it. When I was little my Dad would bring my Brother Jason and I every year and we would always have such a fun time. As I became an adult my love for the fair only grew. I love to eat and to people watch. The MN state fair is HUGE and there is so much to look at you can spend hours there. If you counted all the food that you could find on a stick at the fair you would be shocked.

Here is a list of the food and drinks that I wait for all year at the fair, number one being my all time favorite.

1. Deep fried pickles with cream cheese inside
2. Cheese on a stick
3. Juanita’s Fajita’s
4. French fries
5. Olives on a stick from the bizarre
6. Deep fried mushrooms
7. Salt water taffy
8. Lemonade
9. Beer (not this year)

For my TFT I would like to know your thoughts on fairs. Do you LOVE them like me or dislike them? What types of foods do you go for? If you don’t live in MN do you have a big fair every year in your town and if so what is it like?

My Weekend

Warning LONG POST AHEAD!!!

Saturday morning I headed over to pick up my Sister and my Niece Jess to go up to the cabin for the Carlton County Fair. Once we got up there we hung out in the water until we headed to the fair. Here are pics from the fair.

This guy had a wood burning stand. I had to take a picture of this because not only is this my name but it also my b-day. April 18th. It happened to be the guy's address. SO STRANGE!!

After we got back to the cabin from the fair we just hung out. I headed to bed around 9 and the fam hung out at the fire until 12:30 am. My Sister and I were staying in the small spare cabin. Around 12:30 I text my sister and asked her if she could bring me my water when she came to bed because I felt very ill. She brought me my water and then the fun started. My sister got me a garbage can and I proceed to be sick until 2 pm the next day. My poor Sister was up all night having to listen to me throw up over and over in the trash can. I was able to sleep a few hours and then I would wake up and get sick. I am sure you are so happy to hear the details but I couldn't even keep water down.

Around 2 pm my sister thought we should make a break for home. She loaded up the truck and got me into the truck with a garbage bag just in case. She brought me home, got me into bed, gave me a garbage can and then text me every hour to make sure I was ok.

I can't even tell you how miserable I was and if it wasn't for my sister I don't know what I would have done. She was amazing. I give her a hard time a lot but everything she did for me will never be forgotten.

That was my weekend.

My night

I went to my first ultrasound and let me tell you...it sucked having to have a full bladder but was well worth it. Here is the first picture of my baby.















It turns out I am actually 12 weeks not 10 so I changed my counter. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen my entire life. I cried because seeing my baby finally made this all so real. My baby was moving around so much and the heart beat is SO strong. The tech said that my baby looks so strong and healthy. This was the best day of my life so far.

Tonight after my ultrasound going over to Sonja's for dinner with the girls. I am posting a picture of my girls (missing Sonja she arrived after we took the picture) Unfortunately Amber(third one in from the left) moved to AZ last month. I miss her soo much.

Tomorrow morning I am heading up to my cabin with my Sister Tracy and my Niece Jess. It's the Carlton County Fair up in Barnum, MN this weekend. This is something my family and I have been going to my whole life. It's nothing like the state fair but I still enjoy going and spending time with the family.

This morning my alarm went off and I rolled over to this


No lie! He sleeps with me like he is a little person. Head on the pillow and under the covers. The quality of the picture isn't so good because I took it with my sucky camera phone.

So last night I had my first appointment with my actual doctor. She went over all my blood work with me. Everything is normal. Then came the fun Pap. I am about 10 weeks as I thought. She tried to find a heart beat but couldn't. She told me not to worry because it is still really early. Of course I am still worried. She ordered an ultrasound to be sure of dates and to find the heart beat. My appointment is tomorrow. I am happy that I was able to make an appointment so quickly. I just want to make sure everything is ok so I can relax.

No TFT for me today. I know you all couldn't sleep last night wondering what topic I would have for my TFT. Sorry to disappoint.

Wild Wednesday!

Ok, so it's not so much a wild Wednesday I just thought that might get your attention. I don't have much to post today except that today is my first "real" doctors appointment. I am hoping to get to hear the heartbeat. Cross your fingers.

Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

I know you are all on the edge of your seats to hear what I did this weekend. ; )
I spent the weekend up at my Dad’s house. He and his wife Martha went on a camping trip and they asked me to watch Hannah the dog. She is very old and has a hard time getting up steps and they thought she would be more comfortable at home. She’s been around since I was in high school back in ancient times.

I got there Friday night after work around 6 and just lounged around. I made spaghetti, watched some TV and headed to bed early. Saturday, I woke up around 7:30 and even though I had a good night’s sleep I was extremely exhausted all day long. I attempted to go up to North Branch to hit some of the outlet stores but only lasted 15 mins. UGH!! I headed back to my Dads around 2 and took a nap.
Around 4:30 I headed over to my Brothers to have dinner and to hang out with him and my Nephew Tony while my SIL Lori was out for her first girls night out since Tony was born. My Sister Tracy stopped by my Brothers for a little while and we played with Tony while Jason went out and mowed the lawn. After Tracy left Jason and I ordered dinner and watched a movie (he actually couldn’t predict this movie so he kept his mouth shut). I headed back to my Dads around 9:30 and went to bed. I tried to get back to his house before dark because my Dads house is the middle of nowhere and I am still a baby when it comes to being all alone in the boondocks. It’s the perfect setting for a horror movie.

Sunday I just hung around my Dads until he and Martha got home. We ate dinner and then I headed home to B and my baby Gizmo.
That was my exciting and fun filled weekend. Thank you for taking the time to read this long ass post. I am sure you all are so happy you did ; )

TFT-Men!!

TFT-Men!!
Last night I went over to my Sister Tracy’s for dinner and to have my Brother In-Law Jeff look at the car that I am driving until I find something else. It’s a dodge Stealth and it is not me at all. Guys think it’s cool because it’s a sports car but I don’t like feeling like I am laying down when I am driving. Especially since I will soon be HUGE and getting in and out of this car will not be easy. I may need a fork lift.

My Sister made sweet and sour chicken which was yummy. After dinner we went up to Napa to get parts for the car, 60.00 bucks for some plugs and wires. MAN!! My Sister and I sat in the porch swing while BIL Jeff worked on the car. It was such a nice night. It felt good to be out in the fresh air. Lately I’ve just been going home after work and lying around.

My BIL’s friend Rick lives in my Sister’s basement apartment and came out to help with the car. He then proceeded to piss me off. I am pregnant and hormonal and he feels the need to bark at me about the man’s side of pregnancy. Hmmm really are you sick 24/7 and so exhausted you have to drag yourself out of bed. NO!! My Sister told him to shut up. I think she could tell that I was about to blow. He was seriously arguing with everything that I said trying to push his points on me.

Any thoughts on men and the hormonal thing???

8 things before I die

I've been tagged by Helmet to list 8 things I would like to do before I die. Of course mine aren't as funny as Helmet's. I'm not that creative.

1. Live in a small town in Alaska (There has to be a town like the ones on Northern Exposure and Men in Trees, Right?)

2. Cut all my long hair off. This will probably never happen.

8. Write a book (this might be hard because I am bad at grammar)

I am supposed to tag people to do this also or something bad will happen to me. Umm I will take my chances and let everyone off the hook.

My first appointment

Today I went to my first doctor’s appointment. Apparently at my clinic you have to see the OB nurse before they will let you see the actual doctor. The appointment was very informative. I didn’t get to hear the hearts beat or even have an exam but they sure did take a lot of blood, 5 tubes to be exact. I felt like I was going to pass out so they gave me some juice and crackers. We talked about my medical history and when my last period was to give me a due date to start with until I have the actual exam. My estimated due date is 3/8/09 and I am about 9 ½ weeks. We talked about where I would be having my baby and the nurse had me fill out my registration information for the hospital. I will be delivering at St. Johns Hospital. I am very excited because I love that hospital. I also thought I would have to pick a different doctor because my doctor that I’ve had since I was little is just a family physician but turns out she will be delivering my baby. That makes me very happy. My appointment with my doctor is next Wednesday. I let you all know how it goes.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was pretty good but of course it went way too fast.
Friday after work I stopped a got dinner from one of my favorite Lebanese deli’s Zakia’s. I got my usual, Lebanese salad, Kibbi, pita bread, some olives and cucumber sauce. Yummy!! It’s sad but I can’t really remember what I did after dinner. It feels like lately I’ve just been a ditz. (Some may say, lately??) I probably just went to bed.

Saturday I woke up at 7:30 am. I haven’t been able to really sleep in lately and sleeping is my favorite thing to do. I just lounged around all day and watched lifetime movies. I was extremely exhausted and couldn’t get the energy to do anything. Being tired all the time would have to be one of my biggest complaints about this first trimester.

Around 3pm I peeled myself off the couch to head up to my Brothers to have dinner. I got to hang out with the cutest little man in the world my nephew Tony.

We played and I got to feed him. I still can’t believe that I will have one of those soon. I have a feeling my baby will have a lot of hair just like Tony because I did when I was born and so did my Brother Jason.

We ordered pizza’s (my fav) and watched a few movies. Watching movies with my Brother isn’t always fun because about 10 min into it he is say ‘ok I know what is going to happen’ and then he will proceed to tell us how the entire movie will play out. He is usually right though.
Around 7 I decided to head home because I wasn’t feeling well. Oh Lori borrowed me a ton of maternity clothes. Thanks SIL! Hit the sheets early as usual.

Sunday was uneventful. I watched movies then we ordered a pizza for dinner. I swear that’s all I want to eat lately.

Now it’s Monday and the week starts all over again.
Tomorrow I have my first Doctors appointment. I am so excited.
