Jake Discovers the TV

Jake as never shown interest in the TV. I've always thought it was because he couldn't see it. Plus our TV is up a little higher on a stand. Tonight Jake was having a little melt down so I picked him up and brought him over to the TV and put him up really close to it. Megamind was on and he was instantly hooked. I tried to put him down on the couch to watch but he would start to cry because he could no longer see it. I really didn't want to stand in front of the TV and hold him so he could watch the movie so I decided to put a chair in front on the TV with his booster seat on it to prop him up so he could see. He loves it!!

I gotta figure out a new way to make it so he can see the TV. If he keeps watching it this way he is going to get a neck ache.

I have to say that this made me a little sad. Little things like watching a cartoon we may take for granted. Jake doesn't have the luxury of just sitting on the couch and watching a cartoon.

My little boy is amazing!!

This made me cry! I am so happy for him! It's the simplest joys that are so sweet! Imagine how happy he was to watch such a cool movie! Go Jake!

Aw, I hope you find a way for him to see it better.

I'm not a parent so I don't think it's realistic for a kid to not watch TV however think of all the other activities Jake has been able to do and experience like play outside that the other kids aren't doing because they are inside watching TV. Maybe it's a good thing about the lack of TV.

This made me tear up, as well. You are right, we take these things for granted.

That is awesome that he is enjoying the T.V. :)

That is so cool that he was able to experience that! Great problem solving on your part too... anything is possible, right!?

First of all - Megamind is one of my favourite kid movies ever!

And I think this is the coolest. To witness the look on his face watching him watch TV - pure joy.
