Strange Obsession!!

Ok...I have a really strange obsession that started a few weeks ago. It has to be the pregnancy that is making me a NUT JOB. Ok don't laugh.. The smell of motor oil... I'm not going around sniffing tail pipes on cars so don't be worried. It all started when I got my new twilight book. I noticed that the pages smelled like motor oil. Now I can't put the book down and not because I can't stop reading it but because I can't stop smelling it. It wasn't until today that I knew that I am obsessed with this smell and here is why... I am in HR/Payroll at my work and I get time cards from our mechanics and they have motor oil smudges all over them from the guys fingers. I have spend the whole day fanning them in my face to get the smell of motor oil. I just can't stop. Its like a drug.. Holy crap I could be losing it!!! Brent has been working on his snowmobile all day and I told him NOT to shower until I can smell him for a few hours tonight..

I seriously hope I get my sanity back once Jacob is born.

31 weeks

31 Weeks today. Sorry the picture quality sucks. Brent took the camera last night so I had to use my cell.

This past weekend we went to my family Christmas. Brent and I were a half hour late due to the weather. Unfortunately by the time we got there all the good food was gone. I have a very large family. There is one thing that I look forward to every year and its my auntie's cheesy potatoes. All gone! I could have cried. Gotta love pregnancy hormones. It was nice to see everyone but also a tad overwhelming since a lot of people haven't seen me since the summer and wanted to touch the belly. Its my fam so I didn't mind as much as I would if it was a bunch of strangers.

Tony(my nephew) was a hit. This is his first Christmas so everyone got him a gift and we all watched him open them. He mostly wanted to play with the tree but my Auntie Julie snapped this cute pic of him.. He's got a thing with sticking his tongue out. We all just love this little man like crazy.
Sunday Brent and I did some last minute shopping and stopped for an early lunch. We decided to try a new restaurant that just opened in our area.
Annoyance # 1...I ordered fajitas. Usually when I order fajitas they come out on a platter with meat, fried onions and fried green peppers. Not at this place. I should have take a picture. It came out on a plate with the meat, onions and green peppers all mixed together with tomato sauce like it was a stew or something. It tasted like it should be on pasta. I sent it back and didn't eat. .
Annoyance #2... Then these two obnoxious men came in and sat down right next to us. They looked like they were drinking still from the night before and of course they start talking to Brent right away, he is very approachable and everywhere we go he meets a new buddy.
It's like ummm can't you see we are trying to have lunch and don't want to be bothered by a bunch of drunks. I was like CHECK!!!
Annoyance # 3.... On top of all of this I hadn't felt the baby move all day and made myself sick with worry. I made Brent drop me off and he went to watch football. I laid and bed and waited for the baby to move. FINALLY at about 4 pm the baby started to move around and didn't stop all night. Whew......
If you've made it this far in this post thanks for listening. I'm now done venting.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas...

Half way there

Half way to the weekend. Thank god! So we didn't end up making our trip last weekend. I was still too sick. I felt so bad for Brent. Nothing like spending your B-day taking care of a pregnant lady and cleaning up throw up. I am one lucky girl to have found someone like him. We were able to reschedule our trip for Jan 3rd so we are postponing his B-day celebration until then.

I am still not feeling 100% but I am defiantly better than I was. Yesterday I hit 30 weeks and had my first really bad case of heartburn. It was awful. It took everything I had to get through work. I cried secretly at my desk. Man what a mess I am. The minute Brent picked me up I started crying like a little baby. It's hard going back to work when I feel so icky because there is someone at work that gives me the silent treatment for days after I've been sick. Like I like being pregnant and sick all the time or something.

10 weeks to go I keep telling myself....just 10 more weeks...just 10 more weeks. I hope it goes by pretty quick because I am very excited to meet my little man. I feel like I've been pregnant for years. 62 days left.

Last night Brent and I watched Step Brother. Oh my gosh.... This is the funniest movie EVER. I laughed so hard. Has anyone saw it?

SICK AGAIN!!

Yep, I'm sick again. I am trying not to cry while writing this but it's hard. I am so sick of being sick. I know that once I see Jacob this will all be worth it but my body is so tired and I haven't even gotten to labor yet.
I woke up around 3 am with a horrible stomach ache. It was almost exactly like my stomach ache this summer while at the cabin if any of you remember that story. Oh course by 7 am I was in tears because I hadn't slept and I really can't miss work. B did everything he could. He tried rubbing my tummy and getting me whatever I needed but it just proceeded to get worse. I knew that the way I felt and the lack of sleep would prevent me from going into work.
There is nothing that I can do about that. I just wish that I didn't have to work through all of this and that I could just relax. I fell asleep around 7:30 am but was woken up because I needed to run to the bathroom and throw up. Sorry for the details. I can't keep anything down and my tummy just aches.
I called the nurse line and she said its the flu, she is so certain and I hope that's all it is. I told her that I got the flu shot and she said that only prevents respiratory problems and not the stomach problems and vomiting. Did any of you know that? What was the point of getting the shot.....
Tomorrow morning B and I were suppose to head up to Duluth. I called the hotel and they said that we can't cancel. I pray pray pray to god that I feel better in the morning so we aren't out all that money and so B can have a good B-Day.

Well enough of my sob story. I hope everyone else is better than I am.

Take care.

Doctors appointment

Yesterday we had a doctors appointment. I hate to always bring this up but you wouldn't believe how much weight I've gained. I cried to Brent in the room before the doctor came in. He does such a good job of making me feel better. He says 'honey you are pregnant and beautiful and once then baby is born we will both work out together and you will be back to your normal size in no time'. I know that I need to stop being so sensitive about this and just focus on being healthy for the baby but it's hard. I've always struggled with this issue. Add pregnancy hormones to the mix and its a disaster. I'm really going to try and relax and just sit back and enjoy this pregnancy without worrying about how I look. What's important is Jacob and making sure that he is healthy. Oh my gosh what if he is a 10 pound baby. HOLY!! I was almost 11 pounds when I was born. It could happen.
So anyway back to my appointment. I am measuring perfect and Jacob's heart beat it good and my blood pressure is normal. They did my glucose screening to test for gestational diabetes. I had to drink some orange stuff which tasted like really sweet flat orange pop. Then I had to wait an hour and have my blood drawn. B read a magazine and I read my book while we waited.

I get the test results today and will post them. I promise to get a picture up this week too.

This weekend B and I are heading up north to Duluth for a mini vaca. It's his B-day Saturday. The big 38... WOW!! Old man. We are calling this B's birthday weekend and our babymoon in one since this will probably be the last time we can get away before we have little Jacob. The place we are staying is pet friendly but I need to let go for ONE weekend and leave my little man Giz home. I swear he is so SPOILED!! I see jealousy on the horizon.

That's all for now.

Random

Ok, so I am in HR and I do all the AFLAC for the company. Every time our AFLAC rep comes to visit she brings me a duck.
I just had to share my collection of AFLAC ducks. You wouldn't believe how nuts people at my work go for these. I should start locking them up.. See my new Christmas duck in the middle. They are so cute(pic quality not so good)

Oh my my my....

In the past few weeks my appetite has increased substantially. SERIOUSLY!! Already today I've had breakfast, a piece of coffee cake, a piece of short bread, lunch, another piece of coffee cake, a small brownie and a bar thingy.. HOLY SUGAR.. I feel like I am going to burst. Tomorrow I hit my 29 weeks so I am going to post a picture. I looked at a picture from when I was 17 weeks and WOW have a grown. Wednesday I have my glucose screening. FUN!!

I feel like my blogs are boring and I have no readers. I think that because not that many people comment. What's up with that?? Start commenting PEOPLE. I know that a lot of my family reads this and do they comment?? NOOOOOO... Lets change that. I need some support, words of encouragement, tips..

This past weekend was uneventful. I did a little Christmas shopping, relaxed a little, hung out with my Mom and then Sunday I was sick.. Seems to be a pattern. I spend all of Sunday afternoon and evening in bed so I decided to start reading Twilight. So far so good. I'm almost half way through it. I would much rather read the book first than see then movie. It was only 8.97 at target along with all the other books in the series.

Ok enough of my ranting...

Overdue weekend update

I haven't been posting much lately because I haven't really had anything interesting to post. I've been dragging lately. Feeling large and lazy. I have less than three months to go until we get to meet little Jacob and the wait is killing me. Jake is moving and kicking a lot. I love it. He isn't big enough for it to be annoying yet. Some books and websites say he should be around 2 pounds 7 ounces and then some say more. I guess he is about 2-3 pounds right now. Brent and I can now see him moving when I'm laying down. My belly button is almost all the way popped out but I still don't have the line. Hopefully I won't get that.

On to my weekend update. Last weekend Brent and I headed up to my Dad's for our annual dinner/game night after Thanksgiving. We had dinner, chatted and played games. It was a lot of fun. I don't think that I've seen my Dad laugh like that in a LONG time. We were all laughing our butts off watching everyone play guesstures and the other games. Here are some pictures from the night.

My Brother and I comparing our tummies
Tony and my Dad

Brent and niece Jess
Brent showing us his Guesstures skills
My Dad and Tony
The Fam...5th attempt with the self-timer. Not that bad.

We had a lot of fun. Our next year photo will have one more little person in it. YAY!!
Sunday and Monday were sick days.. UGH... I haven't started Christmas shopping. Maybe this weekend. I hope everyone had a great Holiday weekend.

Week Update

Friday night B and I went out to dinner with a bunch of friends for Sonja's 30th B-day. I was so tired and just wanted to go to bed after work but we went because 30 is a big B-day and Sonja is very dear to me. B was happy to get out and socialize..B loves hanging out with Mary's hubby Troy and Lanee's hubby Roger.
Here is a picture of all of us(minus all the men). You will notice I didn't dress up for dinner. I felt frumpy and ugly.. GOTTA love being pregnant.

We had the boys taking the pictures and there were flashed going off everywhere. No one knew where to look. Not a very good pic.

After dinner B and I went home to get some Zzzzz's. B set his alarm for midnight because him and his friend Matt were going up north deer hunting after Matt got off of work. I didn't really even hear him leave because I was soooo tired.

Saturday morning I woke up and realized that I was all alone for the whole weekend. Even the MIL was gone. By 11 am I was bored and needed some company so I went over to Mary's. I was craving Olive Garden so I made Mary and the kids go with me to lunch. I love love love the salad and bread sticks from OG. After pigging out I headed home to do nothing before the family came over.
Saturday night my family came over for my Mom's 55th b-day party. All of the kids surprised her with tickets to the WILD game. Unfortunately we were only able to swing 2 tickets because they are hard to get and VERY expensive. So my Bro took her to the game while my SIL Lori, Sister Tracy, BFF Mary and all the kids stayed back and watched movies. Here are some pictures from the night I would of had more but my camera died. :(

My Mom and Bro Jason

Mom and Tony

My Grandpa is a VERY talented artist/carver/everything. This is a gift that he gave my Mom. He carved this Santa and fireplace. My mom has 5 Brothers and Sisters and each stocking has their names on them. The Santa is making a toast.

All night long Gizmo was following Tony around. If Tony was on the floor playing Giz was right next to him trying to lick him if Tony was sitting on the couch so was Giz. My dog is obsessed with small kids. I tried to get a picture of Gizmo licking Tony and Tony giggling but Giz is so black you can barely see him.. I think he might be a tad annoying when the baby comes but he will have to get used to him..

By Sunday I was VERY ready for B to be home. One day is ok but I miss him too much when he is gone for days. He finally got home around 9:30 pm and I was so happy to see him... :)
I hope everyone had a great weekend and if I don't check back before Thursday HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Nov 20, 2008

Almost Friday

Last night I stopped at Target for some baby laundry soap so I could start washing all of Jake's clothes and I came across a dresser in the baby department that I really liked. It was the same height as the changing table/dresser that I wanted from Kmart but it had more drawers. I said screw it and just bought it.

The picture quality isn't so good because I used my cell phone(excuse my iron). I spent two hours putting it together last night (with a little help from B) and I think it looks great in the room. I am going to paint the knobs to make it not look so plain.

When I got home from Target last night B had dinner ready for me. He made taco's and we actually sat at our kitchen table and ate together. It was nice. Normally we sit in front of the TV which I hate doing because we have such a nice dining room set and a nice kitchen table that we never use.

That's all for now.

Overdue Weekend Update

This past weekend B's Aunt Donna and Sister Shannon had a couples baby shower for us with B's family and friends. A lot of people showed up and we had a great time. Here are some pics from the shower.

Pregnant Lady and B

Shannon(B's sister) Aunt Donna, Pregnant lady, B and Mary (B's Mom)

I just want to say thank you to Donna and Shannon for the wonderful shower.

Sunday B and I headed to Dinky Town to the Gopher hockey game. We stopped at an Irish Pup for lunch before the game. I can't remember the name of this place but our food was AWESOME!! The game was a lot of fun.. Here are some pictures.

B won't show his teeth when smiling right now because he chipped a tooth and thinks everyone can tell... BUT YOU CAN'T TELL

Goldie entertaining the crowd

We had a lot going on this past weekend and by Sunday night I was beat. I laid on the couch and B went to watch football with his buddies.
Last night I went through all the new baby stuff from the shower and organized Jacob's room. We need to hang the quilt on the wall and hang a few other things and I still need to get my changing table/dresser which I found at Kmart of all places. I looked at Target, Babies R us, Walmart, Ikea and a few other places and couldn't find what I needed but I did find one at Kmart. Strange! Once I have that then I can put away all the clothes that we have for the little man.
Two weeks and I will be in my third trimester. WOW!!

Update!

B and I went to our ultrasound the other night and after waiting 35-40 min with a FULL bladder we got in to see the tech. The tech was the lady that I had at my 12 week ultrasound. I LOVE HER!! She is amazing. I told her about the cyst/tumor that St.Kate's saw and she said that it's a fibroid tumor and that she saw that at 12 weeks and that my doctor should have known that when I went in to see her. She said that St.Kate's freaked me out for no reason. I'm thinking that because I was cramping my doctor just wanted to be safe and have the baby checked out. We didn't mind. Any time we get to see Jacob is a blessing. The tumor is about 2 inches long and is the hard lump that I feel by my belly button that I was thinking was the babies butt or head. It has gotten bigger but as long as it doesn't get really big then we will be ok.

Seeing Jacob again was amazing. He was moving around like crazy and yawning. The tech Chris said he is 100% a boy. We don't need anymore convincing.. We are having a little boy. Chris said that he is about 1 pound 11 oz and is measuring exactly 25 weeks. She said that he will probably be about 8 pound and will be due on 2/23-2/24. Chris said that I am doing something right because he is progressing perfectly. I love hearing that. She also said that he is really cute. I asked her how she can tell what he looks like from the sonogram and she said after doing this for so long she can tell. Awwww!!!

I will try and post pics of little Jake soon.

My Monday!!

Today is my Monday because I was out of work yesterday. For those of you that didn't know this, last week B and I went to Saint Kate's college to get an ultrasound. They do them for free so their students in the sonogram program can learn about what to look for. We didn't think we would have another ultrasound and we really wanted confirmation on the sex.
I didn't mention this but last week but the instructor of the class said that she saw a cyst/tumor and should get it checked out. Well yesterday morning I was cramping really bad and decided to go in to the doctor just to be safe. My doctor ordered another ultrasound. So tonight B and I will get to see our little man again. YAY!! I just hope that everything is ok. I am stressed to the max and making it worse. I need to just relax but I am also having issues with the MIL living sitch. Hopefully everything will work out.

Mary came over yesterday afternoon and set up the crib for me. We put all the bedding on crib and hung the window treatments. It's so cute but not done so you will have to wait for a picture. I want to get a changing table first and then it will be pretty much done.

I am working on catching up and commenting on every one's blogs. Sorry I've been a slacker.

Well that's all for now.

PS Michelle your package will be in the mail this week I promise..

Weekend and belly pics

Friday I got 6 inches cut off my hair. UGH!! I know that I needed to and it's really cute but my hair is like my security blanket. It was too long though. It was to my lower back. WAY TOO LONG!! All I was doing was pulling it back in a pony tail. I started to feel very frumpy. Now it just barely touches my bra strap but it's all layered up and I love it.

Saturday Mary came over and painted the baby's room for me. She spent about 6 hours working on the room. I love my BFF...

She is trying to cover the BIG FISH that the previous owners painted on the wall..

I headed over to my Mom's Saturday afternoon to go with her to play bingo.. I didn't win once but my Mom won twice.. NICE!!

Today I did a little shopping. I am looking for a changing table or a dresser to use a changing table for the baby's room. No luck.

Stopped at my Moms after and she took the pictures of my belly.

Almost 25 weeks

I don't know if any of you out there had this issue when you were pregnant but I am very sensitive about comments about how big I am getting. I feel like I am right on track but I get a lot of comments like WOW you're big or GEEZ you're healthy. Maybe I am just being sensitive.
Well that's all for now.

Results are in!

Today we had our ultrasound and it was very clear this time what this little bugger is.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!
Today is our last day of United Way at work and boy am I glad. Two weeks of constant committee work. UGH!! Everything goes to a great cause so I am happy to be done. This week went by pretty fast and I am about to head out of here and head home for the weekend. I love the weekend!

B came up to my work today to bring me lunch and to eat with me. He is such an amazing man. He told me that last night at work they posted a notice that they are laying off 50 people.. He couldn't wait until his shift tonight to see if he was one of them so he called HR. YEP! B got laid off. The HR lady was very upset because she just hired him and everyone loves him there. He is doing an amazing job but unfortunately they said that they couldn't predict the economic crisis. That pisses me off. They hired 20 people a little over a month ago and now they are letting them all go. Are you telling me that a month ago you didn't know that our economy was in the toilet!!! This was a great job for B and he was excelling. They said that are going to try and get him back in the spring.

I have to say that I a little freaked out with the baby on the way and with the new house but I know that we will get through it. God doesn't give us more than we can handle even if it doesn't feel like that at times. There are people that make it with far less than we have and I need to be thankful for what we have.

I hope every one enjoys their Halloween. Post pics of the kiddos in their costumes. I need a smile :)

Contest TIME!!!

We have an ultrasound scheduled for next Thursday @ 9 am.. I will be 24 weeks so I am hoping for a better percentage than 75% chance its a boy or for them to say its a girl (which is what I think it is). I am also hoping for a better tech.

Contest TIME!!! Ok, so I am going to have a contest for the correct guess on the sex of the baby. Of course for multiple winner I will draw a name. The prize is a secret. It will be mailed to you.

Here is a little history to base your guesses on. At our last ultrasound (17 weeks) the tech said that it might be a boy. I had to pry a percentage of 75% out of her but she seemed very new and didn't seem to know much. At my first ultrasound (12 weeks) the tech who said that she's never been wrong said it looked like a girl. Although I know that was VERY early I know she was very skilled in her field. Also, all the Chinese charts say its a girl.

Ok so make your guesses and I will check back next week after my appointment.

Good luck!!

Monday! UGH!

The weekend went way too fast.

I am exhausted today. B and I spend the weekend doing everything but relaxing. I don't know if I mentioned this before but our house has a separate Mother In-Law apartment in it and over the weekend we moved the MIL in. B's mom has been living in a senior community apartment for the past 6 months and was miserable!! After MUCH discussion we decided to have her come live with us. We realized that this was going to be a challenge but wanted to give it a try to help her out and it helps us financially as well. She has her own living room, bedroom and kitchen which is nice because we wanted to keep our privacy and live as separate as possible while still being able to help her out. So we spent all Saturday getting the MIL moved in. B pretty much did it all on his own with the help of his two teenage nephews. I wasn't much help so I started priming the baby room. The people who had this house before us thought BRIGHT green would be a great color for a bedroom. One coat of primer barely covered it. So much for getting the room done over the weekend. It looks like this might take me a while. UGH...

Sunday B and I had to go over to the old place to clean. FUN!! Thank god it only took us about an hour(I guess having a clean freak for my man pays off).
Sunday afternoon B and I actually got to hang out with each other. WOW!! What a concept. We stopped by a few of our old hang outs to chit chat with the locals and then headed home. We didn't feel like cooking so we ordered Chinese.
B and I popped in Indiana Jones and B made it about 45 min before he was old COLD. We ended up just turning it off and heading to bed around 9. All in all the weekend was busy. We are looking forward to next weekend because we have NOTHING planned.

Oh my gosh I forgot to mention... The baby is moving so much lately. It is soooo cool but it's such a strange feeling. The other day I felt it when I had my hand on my tummy. B felt it last night with his hand. It was amazing!! One minute he or she is sticking out my lower right side and then ten minutes later he or she is above my belly button on the left side.
I will post pictures soon.

Have a great Monday!!!

MIA!!

Sorry I've been MIA. We are all moved into our new house and I LOVE IT!! We started the whole process this past Saturday. Everyone showed up around 9 am Saturday morning and did an awesome job. We were completely done around 1:30-2:00. I would like to say thank you to My Dad, Step-Mom Martha, Bro Jason, SIL Lori, Mom, Mary, Bill, Timbo, Chad, Dave, and last but not least Brent. We couldn't have done it without all of you and we can't even tell you how much we appreciated it. All the boys were so cute by yelling out 20 pounds every time they saw me helping just to make sure I know that I didn't lift more than 20 pounds. I love love love our new house. I will post some pictures once I am done painting the dining room and the baby room.

Mary went way out of her way. She cleaned the kitchen and even painted my bathroom. She was with me from 9 am Saturday till about 9:30 pm Saturday night working her butt off. Thank you Mary!!
I spent all Saturday and Sunday unpacking and by Sunday night we were pretty much done! Brent organized the garage all day Sunday and I worked on decorating. By the end of the day on Sunday I couldn't even walk. Monday I could barely get out of bed. I way over did it. Brent dropped me off at work and ended up coming to get me around 1:00 pm because I could barely walk. Went home and rested and by Tuesday morning I felt pretty good.

Last night Mary stopped over. She bought all the bedding for the baby room(a six piece set). A while back I returned all the stuff I bought because we really couldn't afford it with the move in all. The bedding is almost exactly the same as the stuff I picked out on my register. She stopped by to make sure I liked it. IT IS SOOOOO CUTE!! Thank you again Mary. She has been amazingly helpful and generous. Love ya!!

Mary is coming over Sunday after church to help paint the baby's room and to help me set up the crib. I am hoping to have the room done by the end of the weekend. I can't wait to share pictures. Stay tuned.

Sorry I haven't been able to comment lately. I will try and catch up next week when things start to settle down.

Good News!!

FINALLY!!!! I finally felt the baby move. I am 21 weeks and I thought that I would have felt it way before now but last night as I was watching TV and I felt it. Well At first I didn't know what it was but after it happened a few times I new it was the baby. Today I've felt it a few times. This is NUTS! I can't believe I have a little baby growing in my tummy and that in 4 months I am going to be MOM. WOW!! I wonder what he or she will look like, how big he or she will be, if I will know what to do...so many questions to be answered.

I am wondering if I should cancel my ultrasound and just have the sex of the baby be a surprise. I know the tech said 75% chance its a boy but she was an airhead and really didn't act like she knew what they heck she was talking about. Plus when I look at the pictures from the ultrasound I see three lines in the genital area and I was reading that three lines is what shows when its a girl. Who knows!! We may just wait.

Since I've had a name for a boy named picked out since I was younger we decided that Brent would get to choose the girls name. I think its a girl so he may get full control over our child's name.. Scary. We do have to agree though.

Happy Hump Day!!!

I would like to wish a Happy Birthday to Michelle

Happy Monday!!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was ok.

Friday night Mary asked me to babysit so her and Troy could go to a work function. I told her that I would come over on one condition, that she be home at 11:30 so that I could be home when Brent got home from work. Since he works nights I only get to see him sleeping in the morning. She agreed so I went over to watch the kids. Chase was surprisingly naughty. He is normally is such a sweet boy but he had a few tantrums. Oh well we all have our days. He settled down and we watched a movie together. Of course Taylor was easy as she always is for me. She just played in her room with her pet shop toys. After getting the kids to bed I passed out for a little while and was woken up by my phone ringing. It was Brent wondering where I was. I looked at the clock and it was 12:15. Boy was I upset. Mary and Troy got home around 12:45. Needless to say I was NOT HAPPY.

Saturday Brent and I went to get some breakfast before going to register. My Sil Lori created a spreadsheet with everything that I needed to register for, what store it was at, notes on each product and how much I would need of each thing. Isn't she amazing!!
I can't even tell you how much this helped us. I was a little lost but without this spreadsheet I would have been running around pulling my hair out. We picked out our crib and changing table. It's all starting to feel more real and I can't even tell you how excited we are for our baby to be here.

Sunday Brent worked on the garage for our upcoming move which is this Friday. We are going from a large two car garage to a small one car garage and a shed. The garage would be my only complaint about our new house. Brent has a lot of stuff like tree trimming gear, fishing stuff, grills, tools, etc. I just hope we can neatly organize it all to fit in the shed so we can store the car in the garage. I'm crossing my fingers. While B was working in the garage. I worked on organizing all my stuff which I never unpacked from when I moved in with B. I knew that we would only be in this house for a short period so I just left all my stuff in boxes and only unpacked my clothes. As I was going through all my boxes I found a few of Gizmo's Halloween costumes and made him model them. I wish that I would have taken pictures. It was so cute. He is such a funny dog. He hung outside all day with B. He sat in the truck the whole time. He loves going on rides. I couldn't get him to come out.

This was a long and boring post and if you made it through it I applaud you.

Have a great Monday!

Happy Friday!

Ok, SERIOUSLY!! I think that I have a broken cervix. I waddle like I am 8-9 months pregnant. I can't even imagine how I will be when I am actually 8-9 months. This is getting out of hand. My friend used to waddle when she was pregnant and I would laugh at her but now I understand. I walk so slow that I have to step aside to let people pass me so I don't get run over. I am like that old lady that you get stuck behind. UGH.

Moving day is near, 7 days to be exact and Brent is stressed out about it for some reason and since he works nights now he calls me at work to tell me what is stressing him out.
I know that I should be more understanding but I'm at work and since we don't see each other it would be nice to just talk and not talk about the move or the dog pissing on the floor. Which by the way has been getting out of hand. Gizzy has been very naughty lately. His sleeping in between us is also getting out of hand. I know he is small but the dog sprawls out like he owns the place. Oh and there is nothing like being in a deep lovely slumber and all of a sudden he hears something and starts barking his head off.. HOLY CRAP I feel like I just had a heart attack every time.

Any plans for the weekend?? Tomorrow I am meeting Stephanie for lunch and then back home to get the house packed up. I think since I have only one week left I am going to pack up the entire kitchen and just use paper plates and plastic. Oh and I am registering this weekend. I'm excited about that. I think it will be fun.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Red Lobster

No TFT today....
How many of you like Red Robster? Well I love it. When I was a small child it was the fancy place that my parents would go once in a blue moon and bring home hush puppy left overs. Now it's not as fancy and the quality is not like the good old days but I still like it. My Dad still wants to go there every year on his birthday.
Well last night I met one of my oldest and dearest friends for dinner at Red Lobster. Danielle and I have been friends since 9th grade where we met in science class. We've had a very strong connection ever since then. We have GREAT memories over the years. Her and I could sit in a room and just laugh for hours. She just gets me like only a few do. We've been to Red Lobster many times over the years and even though D gets so freaked out by crab she always get them. Then I get to watch her and the crab legs fight all through dinner. It's pretty entertaining.
She is one of the funniest people I know. I bet you couldn't find one person that doesn't like her.
Danielle is also a very strong woman. She spent 2 years in IRAQ fighting for our country. Everyday that she was gone I worried and now that she is home the time I get to spend with her is VERY important to me. Last night she told me that she might be moving 2 hours up north to go to school for law enforcement. Although I am sad that I will not be a short drive away from her I know that this is something she has always wanted to do and will be good at. Good Luck Dani. I will miss you. Can't wait to visit.

I wanted to share some pics of us over the years. WARNING!! Some are from about 10 years ago when I was a young pup.. UGH!!
Danielle and I have taken many trip through the years and there are a few from those times. I think we are about 21 in these pictures. I think I am wearing overalls in the second picture.. NERD!!

This is a picture a few years ago when Dani was on leave from IRAQ
This was from our trip to Garrison about 8-9 years ago.
This is from a another leave Dani had. She may get mad that I posted this one because she has a black eye. Sorry D.

I act like she is going back to IRAQ when she will only be 2 hours away.. What can I say she is just a great person to have in your corner. This post sounds like an ODE to Danielle. HAHA

Belly shot 20 weeks

Here is my 20 week shot. I can't believe I am sharing these I feel as big as a house.. UGH!

Jerks are everywhere

WARNING emotional pregnant lady has entered the building... HOLY MOLY!! Yesterday I went to my Mom's work to pick up boxes for our upcoming move and I pulled into the spot next to my Mom's because I was just running in for a minute.. It happened to be break time and all the factory workers were outside. Some JERK proceeds to yell at me for parking where I parked. Normally I would say something like 'mind your own business' or 'call the police' but today I just said 'yes I know I am just running in to grab something and because I am pregnant I just didn't want to park way far away'. This ass says to me 'I don't care you can't park there' I just gave him this look and he says 'oh look she is going to cry'. The minute I got inside and started to ball. I had to sit in my Mom's office for a little while to compose myself. Needless to say my Mom is this guys boss and she wasn't happy. I still have to call her to see how she handled the situation after I left but I hope he felt like an idiot and will think again before he runs his mouth.
I normally have no problem telling someone where to go but these pregnancy hormones are making me a BIG BABY.. WOW!!

I am exhausted today because I didn't sleep more than 2-3 hours last night. I had horrible pains in my tummy. On top of that Brent was snoring and Gizmo was sick and needed to be let out at least 100 times. Finally Brent went to sleep on the couch and he took care of Gizzy and I tried to get an hour in before my alarm went off. I am not sure what was wrong with the boy but B said that he was shaking, restless and wanted to go outside a lot. If he isn't feeling better by tomorrow off to the vet.

I find myself very emotional and irritated today. I forgot my umbrella so when I went to lunch I tried to run.. Oh my my my did that hurt. I feel like I am 8 months pregnant not 5..UGH
After work I am going to pick up a friend from work and drive her home and then I am going home to bed. I can't wait!

Sorry about all my complaining. I hope your Tuesday is going better than mine.

Weekend Update!

The weekend is almost over. I hope that everyone had a good one. Mine was good.
Friday I went over to Mary and Troy's right after to work to watch the kids for a few hours while Mary and Troy went to look at a bathroom that they are going to be working on. Sonja stopped over with her daughter Angelina to use the computer. Mary and Troy got home and we all hung out until about 10 when Sonja and Ang went home. I stayed and Mary and I put in the Sex and the City movie. I last till about 11:20 and then headed home.
Saturday we woke up, got ready and headed up to forest lake to meet my Brother Jay, SIL Lori and Nephew Tony at the Wolf Center. It was pretty cool to see all the animals. They had wolves, bears, raptors, coyotes and foxes. It was called Harvest Fest so I thought that there would be more of a fall festival but it wasn't like that. It was still fun to see all the animals.

Tony all dressed up in his fall gear
Brent and me checking out the wolves

This bear is about 15 years old and came to them from a zoo that no longer had room for him

This guys wing never healed correctly after an accident and can no longer fly

My Brother and Brent

Remember a few months ago when I posted the picture from the wood burning stand at the Carlton County fair up north. Well this guy was at this small little festival and here is my sign again. My name and birthday.. SO STRANGE

After the wolf center we stopped and got some lunch. After lunch Brent and I met his Aunt Donna to talk about our baby shower that she is throwing for Brent's side of the family. It was my first time meeting his Aunt. She is like a second Mom to him and I am glad she can be a part of this experience with us.

Now its sunday and I am making apple Crisp and watching lifetime movies. How domestic of me.

What did you do this weekend?

Happy Friday!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I feel almost 100% today. I had a long talk with my boss and he wants me to know that they want to work with me because they don't want to lose me. What a weight off my shoulders. I was so worried that I was going to lose my job. UGH

Any big plans for the weekend? Brent started working nights on Monday and it has been very lonely but tonight I am heading over to Mary's. I am going to watch the kids while her and her hubby go look a upcoming job that they will be doing. I am hoping to hang out with Mary and the fam for a little while before heading home and waiting for Brent to get home. Hopefully I can stay up. 11:30 isn't that late but it is for me these days.

Tomorrow B and I are meeting up with my Brother Jay, SIL Lori and Tony at the Wolf Center in Forest Lake for the Harvest howl. Any of you that live in MN should check it out if you don't have anything else going on. We have been looking forward to it since we heard about it at the state fair. They have wolves, raptors, and other live animals. Native American demonstrations, local artisans selling their wares, archery, kid’s games, pumpkin painting contests.

Sunday B and I going to start organizing all of our stuff and start packing for the big move. The worst thing on moving day is being unorganized and having stray stuff. I hate that. I would like it to be a smooth move.

Have a good weekend everyone. Tuesday I will post a new belly shot marking my 20th week.

Walking sucks

Once again I am in bed. It hurts to walk. The only thing that feels good is laying down or soaking in a bath tub.

I am stressed because this has been a very hard pregnancy and I am worried that my work is not going to be understanding forever.

Updates

Sorry it's Tuesday and I am just updating my blog about my weekend now but I haven't been feeling good. I went to the doctor today for my round ligament pains and she is starting me on physical therapy because the pains are so bad I am having a hard time walking, sitting, moving... I've been in bed for two days. UGH! B started his new job on Monday so I am alone evenings. It will be nice once the baby is born because we will not need daycare but being sick and alone isn't really fun right now. I have my Gizzy though..

Happy B-day to my sweet baby Gizmo he turned 3 on Monday. I felt bad that I didn't have a party for him this year.

So my weekend was filled with spending time with people that I love.

Friday, I headed over to Rachel and Caitlin's for a BBQ and to watch the debate. We had an awesome meal and I got to hang out with the Rachel and Caitlin's kids Eli and Bella. Rachel packed my car with lots of baby stuff and I headed home.. Thanks Rach and Cait for everything..

Saturday I met Lanee for lunch at the Olive Garden. We had a nice lunch and then headed over to Burlington to see if I could get some ideas for the baby room. I saw a lot of things that I liked but didn't buy anything.
After Burlington I headed over to Mary's. I wanted her to go with me to Babies R US to look for baby bedding. We ended up finding a set that I LOVED!! I bought it even though I didn't really have the money too. It's so cute. I will take a picture once I get into the new house and get the room done.
When we got back to Mary's B was there working on their trees. He took one tree down and trimmed another. I felt bad for asking him to come over and do that since he had been doing side tree work all weekend. i told him that we could do it a different day but he had all his saws so he just wanted to get it out of the way.

Saturday night B and I had a big dinner date at Wendy's. We are saving every penny for the big move in a few weeks and money is a little tight. After dinner we just went home and relaxed.

Sunday I woke up and headed to church the topic was Money and I really didn't feel like thinking about money. After church I got some lunch and headed home. B went to watch some football and I took a nap.
B came home and made me dinner and watched Desperate Housewives with me. He is so sweet. He treats me like a princess and will do anything for me and I am not the easiest person to deal with especially when I am pregnant.

That was my exciting weekend. I am sure that once the baby is born it will be a little more interesting.. Stayed tuned.

TFT-Food

Since moving into my second trimester eating has become so much more enjoyable. I've talked about food in the past but my love for food has tripled since becoming pregnant. The first 3 months I was so sick and hated most foods but now that I am feeling better I have found my appetite again(boy how I've missed you). One good thing about my cravings is that usually I crave healthy things like fresh salads and fruit. I don't crave fast food and still feel guilty if I eat it. Most of my cravings come from a smell. Yesterday a guy at my work had cucumbers and now I am craving them so bad I won't stop thinking about then until I get them.

Here is a list of my top favs right now, it will change next week.

Fresh green peppers(I could eat a whole one by myself)
Fresh green beans
Olives olives olives (mostly black but I love the green ones too)
Chow mein with LOTS of celery (homemade)
Popsicles
Salads
Soup
Stuffing
Pickles (sweet and dill)

Tony loves sweet potatoes

What are some of your favorite foods or meals??

Tony's Baptism

Sunday was Tony's Baptism. It was a great day with the family. Tony is the best baby.

Lori and Tony. All Tony needed through the ceremony to keep him happy was Mom's hand.

My Brother and Tony

Not sure why this picture turned out blurry. I can't wait to get my new camera.

My Niece Jess and Step-Sis Syd with Tony

Since it looks like I am having a boy Tony will have a little boy cousin to grow up with. They will be a little over a year apart. I can't wait to see what they think of each other.

Gopher Game

I work for a pretty large trucking company and they move some of our MN sports teams like the Twins, Wild and the Gophers. My work was nice enough to give us all free tickets to the Gopher game on Saturday. I invited my Brother, Tony and Lori. Lori had to get ready for Tony's baptism the next day and couldn't make it. Brent had to work and couldn't make it either so it was just My Brother Jay, Tony and me. It was a nice bonding day with my Bro and nephew. We all had a great time and Tony was amazing as usual. No fussing or crying. He was even on the jumbo tron.

We had the BEST seats!! Front row. The band was awesome. They did the thriller dance. VERY COOL!!

This just shows you how good our seats were. Goldie came over to shake Tony's hand

Jay and Tony

This is how Tony sat for most of the game. He loved all the excitement.

We had on matching sweatshirts.

The cheerleaders loved Tony. They came over to say hi to him. I wasn't quick enough with my camera though.

All of us outside the game.

Tony was soooooo good.. We stayed for the entire game. It was a great day!!
