Boobs,poo and teeth

After much discussion with Brent and lot of thinking I decided to stop breastfeeding. I wanted to do it until he was at least 6 months but we only made it 3 and a 1/2 months. The reason why I decided it was time was because our little man was having constant tummy problems and I couldn't single out what it was I was eating that was hurting him so much. It had gotten to the point where I wasn't eating anything but bland food but he was still in agony. On top of all that I just stop producing enough to make him satisfied. It's been one week and I am still in a lot of pain. I also miss the bonding experience but in the end I needed to do what was best for the baby and for myself.

Now that Jake is on formula only he is so constipated that he goes 3-4 days without going to the bathroom. He is not a happy camper and B and I have such a hard time seeing our little boy in so much pain. The doctor prescribed him some meds to take twice a day and he has been on them for about 5 days and has only went to the bathroom once. We are going to the doctor tomorrow. I hope that they can do something to help our little man. We miss our happy baby.

On a happier note last week our baby sprouted two little tooth buds. WOW!! Talk about early. He is a drooling mess. He has one on the upper left side and one in front. Teething has also made him a tad cranky. So much for my little man to take. We have to pry his little hands out of his mouth cause he just wants to suck on them... I took a couple pictures of his teeth. They are a little blurry but you can see the white speck which is the tooth bud..

I know that it looks like I am torturing him but honestly he loves when I stick my fingers in his mouth. I think it feels good on his sore gums.

It felt so good to hold that little guy!!! Even if he gave me a formula bath. He is such a good baby. Take the time to enjoy each phase he goes through even if it is not a 'fun' stage.
I love you Jacob...

Coming back to this post after all this time. I'm glad I did. For some reason I thought I made it 5 months breastfeeding.
