TFT- Recipes

Every day I sit at work and think about that I want to make for dinner. I love to cook but I get sick of making the same thing over and over. Sometimes I just end up making a sandwich and just say forget it. So today on TFT I thought that I would share one of my favorite recipes and encourage everyone to share theirs with me. It’s not really a TFT but I do want to hear from you all so please share.

Mashed Potato Pizza

Ingredients
Pizza crust-You can use one of those pre-made crusts from the grocery store
Mashed Red potatoes- You can use regular too (Simply Potatoes has premade ones in the refrigerator section garlic mashed are the best or a buttery kind)
1-2 cups Shredded cheddar Cheese
½ cup Mozzarella cheese
Sour Cream
Broccoli
Cut up bacon or turkey bacon

Directions

I just throw this together and you can too. It’s very simple.
Instead of pizza sauce you are going to use the mashed potatoes so spread them evenly on the pizza crust. Top with the cheese, broccoli and bacon and bake it according to the premade pizza crust directions.
Dip in the sour cream

TAAADAAAA!!

Well this is a good one if you like meat and potatoes. It's super easy and pretty tasty.

Make 2 hamburger patties and season them. Place one hamburger on a large piece of tinfoil and the other on another large piece of tinfoil. Slice 4 potatoes (2 for each piece of tinfoil) really thinly and place in foil, use salt and pepper to season. Put 2 tbsp of butter over potatoes (that's 4 tbsp total) and place a dab over the burger too. You can also throw some carrots in there, or green beans. Place another piece of foil on the tops and close securely. Grill on medium for 20-30 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked. You can eat as is, or put some cheese on the burgers and put on a bun. It sounds so ghetto, but it tastes so good! Enjoy!

One of our easy favorites is 'Marsha Meal' (named for the woman that gave my mom the recipe):

Brown 1 pound ground beef or turkey. Drain and combine with 1 packet taco seasoning and 2/3 cup water. Serve over rice with shreaded cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream.

Super easy, very filling, and great with a side of corn.
